History
In Kierspe, Sauerland, iron processing has been a central focus since the Middle Ages. This gave rise to many small metalworking businesses that characterize the Märkisches Sauerland region as an industrial center. Many were displaced by the industries of the nearby Ruhr region, and a few were able to compete thanks to their distinctive skills in metalworking. Kremann & Esser was one of them, having succeeded in preserving the wealth of experience inherent in their skilled workers, passing it on to the next generations, and developing it further. Knowledge that can only be transferred from “old hands” to “youngsters” through daily work .
